Wireless Headphones and Earphones 

Which devices are MIXX headphones / earphones compatible with?

MIXX headphones and earphones are compatible with all Bluetooth supported phones, tablets and notebooks.

How do I pair (connect) my headphones or earphones with my device?

  • For secure simple pairing your audio device must be within 1 metre of the speaker.
  • Turn on the earphones. Press the power/input button. 'Power On' should now be heard and the '+/skip track button' on the remote should be flashing red and blue (pairing mode).
  • Go into your device settings, select and turn on Bluetooth on your device.
  • Scan for new Bluetooth devices and select your headphones / earphones model. You will not be prompted for a pass code for pairing. (Note: Bluetooth audio connectivity can vary between devices so it can be beneficial to firstly consult with your audio source user manual for pairing instructions if unsure).
  • Your headphones / earphones should now be connected to your device and the announcement 'Pairing completed' should be heard.

Will my headphones / earphones remember that I have connected to them before or will I have to pair again?

Your headphones / earphones will remain paired to your device and become enabled whenever Bluetooth is turned on.

How far will my headphones / earphones stay connected wirelessly?

Your earphones have a wireless range of up to 10 metres making them great for workouts and keeping your phone out of sight and secure.

Can I take calls with my headphones / earphones?

Yes, all MIXX Bluetooth headphones and earphones are hands-free with a built in microphone.

How long does the battery last on my wireless headphones?

The battery lasts up to 14 hours on the JX1 and JX2 wireless headphones.

How long does the battery last on my wireless earphones?

The battery lasts up to 5 hours non stop Play or Talk time or 180 hours standby time on all wireless earphones with the exception of the MIXX UltraFit 1 which has a battery life of up to 10 hours.

How do I charge my wireless headphones / earphones?

You can charge your wireless earphones via the micro USB charging socket on the earphones remote. For the wireless headphones the charging socket can be found under the right ear pad.

What size options are available for the ear cushions?

One size rarely fits all, so 3 different size ear cushions are included in the packaging box: small (S), medium (M) and large (L)

Do my MIXX headphones / earphones have a warranty and if so, how long for?

Yes, all MIXX Audio products have a 2 year warranty that is valid from the day you purchase.

How long does it take to charge my Streambuds?

The earbuds will take up to two hours to fully charge. The charging case will take approximately two hours also.

How can I tell if my Streambuds are fully charged?

While the Streambuds are charging, a red light will appear on each earbud. Once the red light has switched off, the earbud is fully charged. Each earbud has its own battery and may take a slightly different amount of time to charge.

How can I tell if the charging case is fully charged?

There are four battery level indicators on the back near the USB charging port. As the charging case charges up, the lights will switch on, each light represents approximately 25% charge level. Once all four lights are switched on, the charging case is fully charged.

You can check the current charge level by pressing the button next to the lights.

Only one of my Streambuds seems to pair, how can I resolve?

Follow the below steps:

  1. In case you have previously attempted pairing your Streambuds with your phone without success, tap the (i) information button next to the entry for ‘Mixx Streambuds’ in the list of devices on your phone's Bluetooth menu. Select 'forget this device'. If there is a second device with the same name, repeat this step for this too. Then turn off the Bluetooth.
  2. Take the earbuds from the case and press the button on the back of both earbuds at the same time until they both light blue, and then release (before they start to flash) – they will now sync with each other.
  3. To show they have correctly synced, one of the earbuds will start to flash BLUE and RED. Your Streambuds are now ready to pair with your phone. 
  4. On your phone settings, turn Bluetooth on.
  5. You should now have a single entry of ‘Mixx Streambuds' appearing in the device list. Tap to connect.

 

Why is only one earbud making sound?

Check that both earbuds are charged up. Put them into the charging case, close the lid and press the charge button on the case. Once the red lights on the earbuds have gone out, they are fully charged.

Check that both earbuds are powered on and linked together. Press the button on the earbud that is currently playing sound for three seconds. It will switch off. Then press and hold the button on both earbuds for three seconds. Their lights will flash for a few seconds while they link to each other. Once linked, one earbud will flash red and blue. You should now be able to pair it to your device and play music successfully.

Why are my Streambuds not charging in the case?

In order for the Streambuds to charge properly, the lid of the charging case must be on. This ensures contact between the earbuds and the power supply. The lights on the earbuds will turn red to show they are charging. Once they are fully charged the lights will switch off.

Can I use each earbud individually?

It is possible to use each earbud individually in mono. First make sure both earbuds are switched off. Then press and hold the button on the earbud you wish to use until the light flashes red and blue, to indicate it is in pairing mode. You should then be able to select the Streambuds in your phone's Bluetooth settings, it will appear as 'Mixx Streambuds'.

Speakers

Which devices can I connect my speaker to?

The speakers are compatible with all Bluetooth phones, tablets, iPods, computers and notebooks.

How do I connect my speaker with my device?

  • For secure, simple pairing, your audio device must be within a 1 metre range of the speakers.
  • Once you have paired your speakers, the speakers will have a wireless connection of up to 10 metres.
  • To connect, turn on your speaker via the ON/OFF button.
  • Go into your settings, select and turn on Bluetooth on your device.
  • Scan for new Bluetooth devices and select the name of the speakers. You will not be prompted for a pass code for pairing. (Note: Bluetooth audio connectivity can vary between devices so it can be beneficial to firstly consult with your audio source user manual for pairing instructions if unsure).
  • Your speakers should now be connected to your device and the announcement 'Pairing completed' should be heard.

Will my speaker remember if I have connected to it before?

Yes, provided that Bluetooth is enabled on your device, your speaker will connect automatically.

If I receive a call whilst using the speaker, how can I answer it?

Your speaker allows you to take calls hands-free. So should you receive a call, simply answer it by pressing the 'Call Answer' button on the top of your speaker.

To end your call, and return to listening to music, press the 'Call Answer' button on the top of the speaker again.

Can I use my speaker for hands free conference calls?

Yes, the speaker has an integrated microphone.

How do I charge my speaker?

You can charge the speakers via Micro USB. The speaker comes with a USB to Micro USB cable.

How long will the battery last?

The battery lasts for up to 5 hours non stop play, perfect for a summer picnic or for watching a movie on your tablet.

Are the speakers waterproof?

Unfortunately not, so keep them out of the rain.

Does my MIXX speaker have a warranty and if so, how long for?

Yes, all MIXX speakers have a 2 year warranty that is valid from the day you buy them.

    Power Banks

    How do I charge my power bank?

    You can charge your power bank via the micro USB charging port found on the device. This is located on the top of the C10, C15, Qi5 and Qi10 power banks and on the right side on Powerlife 1, 2 and Slim. It is located on the base on Powerlife 3. Simply insert the micro USB cable (supplied in the packaging) and connect to a USB mains charger or a USB port on a laptop. 

    How do I know the capacity of my power bank?

    The capacity is measured in mAh (milliamp Hours) which can be found on the back of your power bank. Generally the higher the mAh, the longer the battery life. 

    How long will it take to re-charge my power bank?

    Your power bank should come pre-charged ready for use, however you will eventually need to recharge it.

    The charge time will vary depending on the power bank capacity and the power output of your charger. Below are approximate time indications based on using a 2.4A USB mains charger. 

    5000 mAh power bank -  approximately 3 hours to fully charge

    10000 mAh power bank - approximately 6 hours to fully charge

    15000 mAh power bank - approximately 9 hours to fully charge 

    20000 mAh power bank - approximately 12 hours to fully charge 

    How do I know my power bank is being charged?

    The battery indicator on your power bank will flash or the battery level will display while it's being charged:

    • Powerlife 1 and Powerlife 2 have a 4 level battery indicator. Each LED will continuously flash until all 4 LEDs are lit. 
    • Powerlife 3 has a digital LCD display, this will show the charging status displaying the word 'IN' to indicate that it is charging and the current battery level as a percentage. 
    • Powerlife Slim has a single battery indicator which will flash red until it is fully charged.
    • C10 / C15 / Qi5 / Qi10 power banks have a digital LCD display that shows the current battery level as a percentage. While the power bank is charging up, the power level indicator display will flash. Once it reaches 100 it is fully charged (100%).

    How do I know my Qi5 / Qi10 Power bank is wirelessly charging my phone?

    First turn the power bank on, this will show how much charge is remaining.

    The LED indicator on the battery display panel will be red, place you Qi compatible phone or other device on top of the power bank.

    The LED indicator will change to green when the power bank is charging your device.

    For small devices such as phones you can use the protective pouch included to keep the power bank and device together while charging. This can be tucked away neatly in a pocket or a bag to charge on the go. 

    How do I know my Powerlife Slim is charging my phone?

    The battery indicator will turn blue when your phone is being charged. 

    How do I use my C10 / C15 power bank to 'Quick Charge' my devices?

    Check the device you want to charge and the cable you are using are 'Quick Charge' compatible. Plug your cable into the blue USB socket of the power bank. This will allow you to charge your QC 3.0 compatible devices faster

    Does my power bank have a warranty and if so, how long for?

    Yes, all MIXX power banks have a 2 year warranty that is valid from the day you purchase.

    Chargers

    How can I use fast charging with my wireless charger?

    To use fast charging with your ChargePad or ChargeSpot wireless charger, make sure that your phone, cable and USB charger are all compatible with Quick Charge 2.0 or higher. We advise checking with the relevant user guides for your phone if you are unsure.

    Why isn’t my phone charging when placed on my wireless charger?

    Make sure your phone is placed flat on the surface of the ChargePad or ChargeSpot and that both devices are the correct way up. If you are using a very thick case with your phone, or one that is magnetically shielding, remove it before using the wireless charger.

    If your phone does not support Qi charging, it will not charge using the ChargePad or ChargeSpot.

    Why is the LED not green when my device is on my wireless charger?

    In the first instance, check if your device is compatible with Qi wireless charging. If so, check that your phone is positioned so that the wireless charging transmitter and receiver are lined up correctly.

    If the LED flashes blue, something is obstructing the signal being transmitted between the wireless charger and the phone. If your phone has a metal case or plate used for magnetic holders, you may need to remove this.

    Which countries can I use my FLX Charge international travel charger in?

    How long does the FLX Charge power bank take to charge?

    The power bank holds 4000 mAh and will take approximately 2.5 hours to fully charge. The charge level indicator lights will gradually light up as the power bank charges up. Once all four lights are on, the power bank is fully charged.

    Where is the US adapter for US-style power outlets on the FLX Charge travel charger?

    The US plug is built into the FLX Charge travel charger, so there is no need for an additional adapter. Flip the two prongs outwards away from the body of the charger to use the charger with a US-style power outlet.

    Can I use both charging outlets at the same time?

    Yes, you can use the built in micro USB / Lightning cable and the USB port on the charger to charge two devices at once. Please note that the charging speed may be reduced when using both charging outlets.

    Charging Cases

    Why is my ChargeCase not charging my iPhone 6 / 6 Plus or 7 / 7 Plus?

    Check that your wireless charger is plugged in and switched on. 

    When the ChargeCase senses a wireless charging signal a blue LED will light up on the frosted bumper of the charging case.

    If your phone does not show as charging, check that the Lightning connector on the ChargeCase has been correctly inserted into your iPhone 6 / 6 Plus or 7 / 7 Plus and ensure the centre of the phone case is placed flat on the surface of the wireless charger and lined up correctly.

    How do I remove my phone from my ChargeCase?

    Firstly remove the ChargeCase Lightning connector from your phone and then safely remove your phone from the protective case.
