For secure, simple pairing, your audio device must be within a 1 metre range of the speaker. Once you have paired your speaker it will have a wireless connection of up to 10 metres. To connect, press and hold the POWER button until you hear 'power on, pairing'. Go into your settings, select and turn on Bluetooth on your device. Scan for new Bluetooth devices and select 'MIXX xBoost’. You will not be prompted for a pass code for pairing. (Note: Bluetooth audio connectivity can vary between devices so it can be beneficial to firstly consult with your audio source user manual for pairing instructions if unsure). Your speaker should now be connected to your device and the announcement that pairing is complete should be heard.
The xBoost speaker does not have a built in microphone. You can answer the call on your device and need to make sure that the phone is selected for audio, not Bluetooth audio.
You can play music on your xBoost speaker from a Micro SD card, USB stick or from any device with an audio (AUX) port using the audio cable supplied. To do this, simply turn the speaker on and plug your chosen audio source into the correct port on the speaker, you should hear a ‘beep’ to confirm this has been recognised. The speaker will automatically play music from a SD card or USB stick. If you are using the audio cable you will need to press play, either on your audio device or the speaker. If you have multiple audio sources connected to the speaker you can cycle through these using the 'mode' button.
The following controls will work for all audio inputs: You can play and pause the music using the play/pause button. You can skip forward to the next track or increase the volume using the double right arrow button. You can skip back to the previous track or decrease the volume using the double left arrow button.
