Why You Can’t Use Bluetooth While Swimming & Why MP3 Mode is Required

Bluetooth technology relies on radio waves to transmit audio between devices. However, water significantly disrupts Bluetooth signals, making it unreliable or completely unusable when submerged. This is because water absorbs and weakens the signal, preventing a stable connection between your headphones and your phone or other Bluetooth devices.

To listen to music while swimming, you'll need to use MP3 mode on your headphones. This mode allows you to store audio files directly on the device, eliminating the need for a Bluetooth connection. By transferring MP3 files to your headphones, you can enjoy uninterrupted music without needing an external device while in the water.

Plug in your Resonate Pro's

Plug the Resonate Pro's into an available USB port on your computer.

Wait for your computer to recognise the device. A notification may appear, or you can find it in File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

Locate Your MP3 Files

Open File Explorer (Windows) or Finder (Mac).

Navigate to the folder where your MP3 audio files are stored.

Copy or Drag & Drop the Files

Option 1: Drag & Drop
Open the USB stick folder.
Drag the MP3 files from your computer and drop them into the USB folder.

Option 2: Copy & Paste
Select the MP3 files you want to transfer.
Right-click and select Copy.
Open the USB stick folder, right-click inside, and select Paste.

Safely Eject your Resonate Pro's

Windows: Click the USB icon in the taskbar and select Eject USB Drive.

Mac: Click the eject icon next to the USB drive in Finder.

Once safe to remove, unplug the USB stick.
