Looking for playlist inspiration this fall? Whether you’re curating a Halloween party soundtrack or searching for some vibey tunes to swish through the leaves, we’ve got you covered. Here are some of our team’s favourite picks to get you in the pumpkin spice spirit!

Thriller – Michael Jackson

– Amanda Marketplace Manager
Listening on: StreamQ C4 in Sand

“An absolute Halloween classic and still one of the best tracks to get everyone on the dance floor. When it first came out, the video was a total game-changer with its special effects, and the funky beat made it impossible not to move to. It shot up the charts and was everywhere - on the radio, at parties, and yes, even at the discos (showing my age there!).”

Only Angel – Harry Styles

– Georgia, Product Designer
Listening on: Streambuds Custom 2 in Silver White

“Only Angel by Harry Styles makes an autumnal, Halloween-inspired pick for me because of its striking contrast in sound. The song opens with a slow, almost ethereal build, creating a sense of anticipation and mystery, before breaking into a bold, rocky groove. That shift from quiet tension to explosive energy mirrors the darker, more dramatic moods of the season, giving the track a cinematic quality that pairs well with autumn’s intensity. And with its angelic title laced with a mischievous edge, it carries a playful, otherworldly nod to Halloween - and of course, it’s no surprise I’ve turned to Harry Styles for this choice, as his music is a year-round

The Hand That Feeds - Nine Inch Nails

– Asha, Graphics & Video Team (also Mixx Blog Editor!)
Listening on: StreamBuds Switch S7 in Seafoam Green

“After seeing Nine Inch Nails live in London this year, they were my immediate pick. The Hand That Feeds may not be intentionally autumnal, but in my opinion, it’s a top-tier Halloween track. It’s grungy and industrial, with an infectious synth bassline that’ll make anyone want to dance. The vibes are perfect for the spooky season! In my opinion, it hits a solid balance for a Halloween party track: it isn’t so heavy that it alienates pop lovers, yet it’s heavy enough to keep the metalheads happy enough. An absolute banger for crunching through the autumn leaves with my StreamBuds in.”

The Return of the Giant Hogweed - Genesis

– Jacob, Senior Product Designer
Listening on: StreamBuds Ultra ANC

“The mix of eerie storytelling and chaotic energy is just unbeatable – and with my Ultra ANC earbuds, you can really appreciate its immersive prog weirdness. Genesis’ The Return of the Giant Hogweed is full of wild organ riffs, menacing guitar and an atmosphere that really pulls you in. For me, it’s the kind of track that pulls you straight into its world; equal parts eerie and exhilarating.

And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad – Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard

– Sabina, Ecommerce Manager
Listening on: StreamQ D3 in Black

“Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's And I Thought My Jokes Were Bad from The Dark Knight soundtrack, might not be the first track people think of for Halloween, but it’s perfect if you need to make an entrance. The unsettling strings, sharp percussion, and dark, playful undertones mirror the Joker’s twisted humour while carrying that pulse of dread that makes it ideal for a spooky night. Whether you’re dressed as Batman brooding in the dark or the Joker causing chaos, this piece captures that eerie tension between menace and mischief!”

(You're The) Devil in Disguise - Elvis Presley

– Darren, Graphics Team
Listening on: Revival 65 in Turquoise

“I’ve been playing this one a lot lately. It’s got that classic ’63 rock ’n’ roll sound with a bit of pop and gospel mixed in, giving it a light and easy feel, but the lyrics have a darker edge. Elvis really sells that back-and-forth with his voice. In ’63, the song was a commercial success, reaching No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 and topping the UK Singles Chart. Listening to this old-school hit really comes alive on the Revival 65. It’s a perfect choice for Halloween without going full spooky.”
